I’m checking out tools for my website and I really like how simple Collect.chat is, but I’m a bit confused why it doesn’t have AI like other chatbots now.
Is there a reason for that?.. Also, are you planning to add AI soon? Just trying to figure out if Collect.chat is the right fit for me.

Collect.chat is intentionally built around one core goal: structured data collection in a predictable flow. Instead of open ended conversations, it focuses on guiding visitors step by step so you always get clean, reliable responses that are easy to use for leads, bookings, surveys, or internal workflows.
Most AI chatbots are designed for free form conversations. That can be powerful, but it often leads to inconsistent answers, missed fields, or data that’s hard to act on. For many businesses, especially when accuracy matters, predictability wins.
That said, we’re not anti AI. We’re exploring ways to use AI behind the scenes to enhance Collect.chat, for example helping with flow setup, question suggestions, or smarter routing, without breaking the structured experience that makes it effective.
If your main goal is collecting data reliably and turning it into action, Collect.chat is a great fit today. If you’re looking for open ended AI conversations, a traditional AI chatbot might suit that use case better.
